About me

I’m a quantitative ecologist interested in all kinds of macroecological topics and patterns. I am a Postdoc at the Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague, working in the MOBI Lab on changes of different flavors of biodiversity across space and time.

I have worked on deep time paleontological and also neontological topics, including extinction risk factors (and climatic effects on them) in invertebrates and amphibians, geographic range size patterns, diversity, and macroevolutionary questions about the assembly of tropical rainforests and biomes in general.

When I am not working I love to work on bikes, brew beer, climb, watch sci-fi and cartoons and if possible spend time in the desert.

I will be at the IBS meeting in Aarhus in January 2026 (07.01., Wednesday)
talking about my latest project about Co-occurrence dynamics in birds!
